Textile Time Machine

Join the Campervan Collective at the Lightbox Gallery exhibition The Lounge is a site-specific installation by multi-disciplinary artist Harold Offeh co-created with the local community to explore the meaning of ‘home’, in this hands-on workshop inspired by H G Wells where imagination and fabric collide to bring a unique collaborative time machine to life.

Explore the past and future to create a fantastical time machine using textiles, words and mark making.

Bring a textile object or scrap that holds a personal memory for you and dive into a creative journey to explore collaboration, memory and the concept of home. You don’t need to have any skills for this workshop – you can knot, wind, wrap or stitch. If you don’t have a textile object to bring, we will be providing lots of fabric to choose from.
